Ms. Crawford began her career in civil litigation and then transitioned as "in-house" corporate counsel where she advised publicly and privately held technology companies on legal matters for over eight years. Her experience includes providing counsel to emerging growth and multinational corporations on both corporate and intellectual property matters. Prior to joining Cornerstone Law, Ms. Crawford was General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for a well-established technology company where she managed the Company's legal interests including intellectual property protection, licensing and corporate governance. Due to her experience, Ms. Crawford understands the particular needs of business clients and corporate lawyers from their perspective.

Ms. Crawford has extensive experience is in licensing and handling large transactions for a technology companies in a wide variety of markets. Ms. Crawford's experience includes structuring all types of "in" and "out" licensing arrangements such as OEM, Distributor, Reseller, VAR, System Integrator and End-User Agreements. Ms. Crawford also assists companies with development of and standardizing licensing practices to facilitate growth and simplify process. Other corporate work has included structuring marketing, strategic alliances, and handling mergers and acquisitions and technology transfers on intellectual property for companies

Ms. Crawford also advises clients on trademark matters, including filing trademarks and trademark portfolio management and on Internet issues, specifically protection of intellectual property of and development policies for Websites. She helps clients with the selection, registration of and enforcement of their trademarks and other intellectual property. She also has on strategies for intellectual property portfolio growth and management, for patents, copyrights and trademarks.

Ms. Crawford earned her J.D. from Santa Clara School of Law in 1992. During her tenure at Santa Clara, Ms. Crawford served as Comments Editor for the Santa Clara Computer and High Technology Law Journal, was a recipient of Santa Clara University's School of Law Public Interest Certificate and studied abroad at Oxford University. Ms. Crawford earned her B.A. from the University of Virginia in 1986.

Ms. Crawford is a member of the California Bar and currently serves as President and Board member for Project Light, a non-profit organization devoted to helping those in need in inner cities and developing nations. She is also a weekly "co-host" of the "WCPK Political Points Program" focusing on educational issues in the U.S. and abroad. Ms. Crawford also served as Co-Chair of the Advocacy Committee for the American Corporate Counsel Association, an in-house corporate counsel association with about 13,000 members worldwide.
